About the ABA...

The Ashland Business Association (ABA) is a group of business owners, executives, managers, and employees working together to foster ties between business and community. The ABA is dedicated to increasing profitability and visibility for its members, and to advocating for a positive business environment within the Town of Ashland.

Our Mission...

  • Provide education and networking opportunities for members.
  • Generate more exposure and business for members.
  • Encourage residents, organizations, and businesses to shop Ashland.
  • Reach out to the community through scholarship.


Our Philosophy...

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy and a vibrant, local economy benefits all aspects of our community. We build strong partnerships throughout the community and the greater MetroWest area to help businesses and the community flourish!

OUR LEADERSHIP

Our leadership team works hard to create impactful opportunities for all of our members. We strive to provide resources which benefit all size companies, from home-based solopreneurs to our large, local chain stores. We build resources around our members' specific needs.

Adam Sachs, President

As President, Adam controls the agendas andand presides at all steering committee meetings and Business Association Meetings. Adam also acts as the liaison between the ABA, and the Town of Ashland and the Community. Adam chairs the ABA Scholarship Fund Committee and leads the Social Media Internship program.  Adam is a Financial Advisor with Centinel Financial Group, LLC and assists people in the accumulation and protection of wealth.

Tricia Kendall, Vice President

As Vice President, Tricia develops the agendas and acts as Parliamentarian for Steering Committee and Business Association meetings.

Tricia is a registered MA architect and owner of Tricia Kendall, Architecture + Design and specializes in additions, renovations, and new construction for residential and commercial projects.


Dick Bennett, Treasurer

As Treasurer, Dick is responsible for all ABA financial matters including maintaining records, accounts, and management of all funds. He also oversees active membership accounts and renewals.

Dick is the owner of Metro West Bookkeeping & Tax Service, Inc.


Nadine Nesbitt, Co-Secretary

As Co-Secretary, Nadine  prepares the minutes of Business meetings. She will also serve as the ABA's town government co-liaisons.

Nadine Nesbitt, is the founder of WAITT  - A unique Marketing company creating community collaborations, for all the right reasons!

Cynthia Whitty, Marketing Director

As Marketing Director, Cynthia keeps the ABA present in the minds of its members and the public. She promotes ABA activities and creates ABA marketing collateral. 

Cynthia Whitty Communications provides branding and marketing strategy and helps businesses grow through print and online marketing and public relations.

Christine Reynolds, Co-Secretary

As Co-Secretary, Chrissy  prepares the minutes of Steering Committee meetings. She will also serve as the ABA's town government co-liaisons.

Chrissy is the owner of Annemarie’s Dance Centre, ADC, for 40 years who has seen thousands of dance students through the studios of their dance center. ADC focuses on quality, consistent dance education in ballet, modern, jazz, tap, musical theatre jazz, pre-pointe and pointe (for students who qualify) and hip hop.
